i2i are a B Corp recruitment company

Our Social & Environmental Commitment

Becoming B Corp™

As we fast approach our 20th year as a Recruitment Consultancy and being a part of Cheltenham’s community, we’ve made it our mission to give back. As a result, we completed our B Corp Impact Assessment and have been awarded B Corp certification.

What does this mean? For us, being a B Corp is about putting our stakeholders first, and supporting local communities’ social and environmental needs. Whether that be through charitable activities, volunteering in schools or committing to becoming Carbon Neutral by the end of 2025.

Our Local Commitment

We believe in the power of quality jobs to transform lives and the importance of supporting local young people into pathways to those jobs. That’s why we currently work with local schools such as Dean Close, Balcarras & Cheltenham Bournside to support skills such as CV writing, Interview Workshops, Personal Statements & Cover Letters.

Additionally, our very own CEO, Charlie, has been volunteering with the University of Gloucestershire‘s Future Plan team to mentor young entrepreneurs and The Gloucestershire Growth Hub program to grow the local economy by supporting start-ups.

As part of our commitment to our community, we are always looking to expand our volunteering practices. If you feel we could benefit your business or school in any way, please get in touch.

Our Environmental Commitment

Although, as a service company, we’re a relatively low environmental impact model, we believe all businesses have a responsibility to measure and reduce their footprint and we’re committed to doing that.  We’re conscious that our GHG emissions primarily come from our office facility energy usage, therefore we’re primarily focusing on reducing that. According to the SME Climate Hub,

…on average, 30% of energy used in commercial buildings is wasted…

Wherever possible, we encourage sustainable consumption associated with our activities to minimise unnecessary wastage, including of electricity, heat and materials.

Our Environmental Policy below outlines the policies we have put in place to do that, and describes the improvement targets we have set ourselves. We have set up an Environmental Management System  to measure and manage our impact.

Having been a candidate of i2i, where Charlie placed me 12 years ago with the company I am still with today, I know first-hand the efforts they go to in ensuring they find the right candidate for both the role and the company. i2i have always been my go-to whenever I have needed to recruit because of my positive experience with them as a candidate. Each time, they have taken the time to meet with me and understand the role, which enables them to fully explain to candidates exactly what we are looking for.

The efforts of the team in helping fill my most recent role have not gone unnoticed. I changed the type of candidate we had historically looked for, and i2i really delivered, meeting my requirements and helping me find the right person for the role.

Our Normative Report is an estimation of our total emissions in tonnes CO2e from the last fiscal year (1 Jan 2023 – 31 Dec 2023). Our aim for the end of 2025, is to accurately calculate our total emissions and offset that in order to be officially ‘Carbon Neutral’.
